About Decktrace

We believe General Arrangement plans should be infrastructure — not static files.

Most General Arrangement drawings live as PDFs, emails, and folders. That works until you need consistency, traceability, and integration across teams. Once areas and elements are structured and stable, teams can build inspections mapped to areas, maintenance planning by deck/section, compliance workflows tied to spaces, and reporting with consistent terminology. Decktrace is the foundation layer for that.

What We Do

Turn GA plans into digital catalogs.

Decktrace converts your General Arrangement PDF or image into a structured catalog of ship areas and elements — with consistent area references, multiple perspectives, an embeddable interactive viewer, and export. You keep the data. Decktrace provides the visual layer (areas, references, coverage) and a simple integration format.

Who We're For

Built for maritime teams.

Ship operators, inspection platforms, maintenance planners, compliance teams, and anyone building software around vessel layouts. Trusted by early maritime teams building modern workflows around General Arrangement plans. Be one of the first design partners.

Our Name

Why We're Called Decktrace

In maritime documentation, a trace is the precise outline drawn over a plan to define a boundary. Before digital tools, engineers would trace over General Arrangement drawings to mark areas for inspection, maintenance, and compliance.

The problem was never the tracing — it was what happened after. Each team traced their own version. Names drifted. Boundaries overlapped. The same space became four different references across four different systems.

Decktrace is the layer that replaces all those separate traces with one. We take your GA plan and turn it into a permanent, addressable catalog of named vessel spaces — each traced once, referenced consistently, and available to every team and every system that needs it.

The name comes from this: deck, the physical space that matters; trace, the definitive boundary you draw around it. When both are permanent and shared, your maritime operations stop rebuilding from scratch.

Not a viewer. Not a converter. A shared reference layer. The one your digital vessel operations can finally build on.
