This Cookie Policy explains how Decktrace, operated by IT Solid Solutions, uses cookies and similar technologies on its website and platform. We have kept this minimal by design — Decktrace does not use advertising cookies and our analytics tool does not set any cookies at all.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to remember your session state or preferences across page loads. We also use localStorage for certain client-side preferences such as your chosen display theme.

Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the platform to work. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

• Session token — keeps you authenticated while you use the platform. Set when you sign in. Duration: session or up to 7 days if you choose "stay signed in."
• CSRF token — prevents cross-site request forgery attacks on form submissions and API actions. Duration: session.

Functional

These are stored in localStorage, not as cookies. They persist in your browser until you clear site data.

• Theme preference — stores your choice of light, dark, or system mode so the correct theme loads on return visits without a flash of the wrong color scheme.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how the marketing website is used. Plausible is a privacy-first tool that does not set any cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track users across sites. No consent banner is required for Plausible because no personal data is collected and no cookies are placed.

Marketing and retargeting (LinkedIn Insight Tag)

On the production website we load the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure the effectiveness of our LinkedIn advertising campaigns and to enable retargeting of website visitors on LinkedIn. LinkedIn sets the following cookies:

• li_sugr — probabilistic user identifier used for ad targeting. Duration: 90 days.
• AnalyticsSyncHistory — records the last time a sync with LinkedIn's partner network occurred. Duration: 30 days.
• UserMatchHistory — LinkedIn ad conversion tracking. Duration: 30 days.
• bcookie — browser identifier for LinkedIn services. Duration: 1 year.
• lidc — data-center routing cookie. Duration: 1 day.

Legal basis: legitimate interests — B2B marketing to maritime professionals. You may opt out of LinkedIn retargeting at linkedin.com/psettings.

Live support chat (Crisp)

On the production website we load the Crisp live chat widget to provide real-time customer support. Crisp sets the following:

• crisp-client/session/{websiteId} — stores your chat session identifier so conversations persist across page loads. Stored in localStorage. Duration: until browser data is cleared.
• crisp-client/data/{websiteId} — stores any contact data you provide during a chat (name, email). Stored in localStorage. Duration: until browser data is cleared.

Legal basis: legitimate interests — providing timely customer support. Chat data is stored on Crisp's EU infrastructure. You can request deletion of your chat history at any time by contacting hello@decktrace.io.

We do not use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

The Embeddable Viewer

When your application embeds the Decktrace viewer, the viewer does not set any cookies on your users' devices. Authentication and access control for shared catalogs are handled via tokens passed as URL parameters or HTTP headers, not browser cookies.

Duration

• Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
• The "stay signed in" cookie expires after 7 days.
• localStorage values persist until you clear browser data for decktrace.io.

Your Choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling the session cookie will prevent you from signing in. Clearing localStorage will reset your theme preference to the system default.

Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies per site. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this page if our cookie usage changes, along with a revised date at the top.
